              A LETTER TO FOREIGN TEACHERS OF YXNU

亲爱的外教朋友们：

Dear foreign experts, friends,

 

        新年伊始，新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎疫情牵动着全国人民的心。面对疫情，中国政府已经采取措施全力遏制疫情蔓延。玉溪市全力做好疫情防控，保障人民群众生命安全和身体健康，打赢这场疫情阻击战。目前国内疫情已经得到了有效的控制。

At the beginning of the New Year, the whole nation is concerned with the outbreak of the pneumonia caused by a new strain of coronavirus. All-out efforts are being made by the Chinese government and local government to curb the spread of the disease. Now, its control and prevention efforts have been to take effect.

       感谢你们积极配合。配合学校要求按时返校感谢你们积极配合学校每天报送健康消息，以便我们了解您的健康情况。感谢你们按照学校要求积极填写相关告知书，为我校顺利开学做准备。
      Thanks for cooperating actively, so that we are always informed about your health situation.

       新冠肺炎疫情，延迟了开学。 “离校不离教、停课不停学”的号召下，你们精心制作每一节网课，积极与学生线上交流，及时开展辅导答疑，以现身说法的方式让学生增强外语学习兴趣，收获地道外语知识，提升外语学习能力，也为抗疫贡献自己的力量。

    The COVID-19 postpones the reopening of schools. Online teaching activities have been carried out across China. You prepare every class carefully, communicate with students actively, which make the contents of course become sensible and imaginary,arouse the student’s study interest,and increase the course’s teaching efficiency.
       在疫情没有彻底结束前，为了防控疫情，学校有温馨提示如下：

   Curbing the spread of the epidemic, Please check the following notice and inform your friends and families. Take care and be safe.

      如果您有离开红塔区的计划，请提前一周向对外交流与合作处报告，得到允许后方可出行。如果您境外亲属朋友近期有到中国的计划，请提前一周告知对外交流与合作处，得到允许方可成行。到云南后一定要遵守中国政府以及《云南省人民政府应对新型冠状病毒感染肺炎疫情工作领导小组指挥部的通告》 到指定隔离点隔离14天，并接受相应的检测期满且身体各项检测符合要求后一般需要居家观察2周，每天测量体温并做好记录。观察期间请遵守不外出，不参加聚会和集体活动的规定。未出现症状的，观察期满2周解除观察。如有相关工作人员询问健康情况，请予以配合。

       If you have any plan of leaving Hongta District, your overseas friends / relatives have any plan to visit you, please report to Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Division a week earlier, you and your overseas friends/ relatives could achieve plans in getting the permission. All travelers entering Yunnan shall follow the prevention measures in accordance with the Announcement issued by the Command of Leading Group on Novel Coronavirus Prevention and Control of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and People’s Government of Yunnan Province and other rules or regulations of China’s government. People with abroad travel history in the last 14 days shall be placed under a minimum 14-day medical observation and receive relevant test. Those who test nucleic acid positive or display such symptoms as fever or cough shall be immediately transferred to designated medical institutions. Those who have tested nucleic acid negative twice after at least 14 days of medical observation shall be free to go back to their residence. It is suggested you stay at home for a 2-week observation without attending any meetings, gatherings or group activities. Observation can be ended if no symptom comes out in 2 weeks. Please cooperate when relevant staff  inquire about your health condition.

      如出现发热症状，请立即报告对外交流与合作处。后到指定医院就诊。就医时主动告知医生旅行史及周围人员是否有类似病例，听从医生指引，配合卫生防疫人员完成流行病学调查。前往医院避免乘坐公共交通工具。

In case of fever, please report to Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Division right away. Then go to the designated hospital to seek medical assistance, and report to Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Division timely.

Please tell doctors about your previous travel history and whether you have had contact with confirmed cases. Follow doctors’ instructions and finish the survey. Try to avoid taking public transportation and visiting crowded areas.

       如果您或者海外亲友到云南后拒不配合或故意隐瞒旅居史、相关病例接触史及病情情况，造成疫情扩散，危害公共安全的，我们将依法追究法律责任。

     Anyone whose behavior causes spread of the epidemic and disrupts public security, including refusing to cooperate, or intentionally concealing contact and travel history, and health conditions, will be held legally liable.
